On June 22-23, 2017, the Vietnam Federation for Digestive Endoscopy (VFDE), in collaboration with the Asian Pacific Society for Digestive Endoscopy (APSDE) and Can Tho Central General Hospital, successfully organized the 4th APSDE Local Workshop on Colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS. The objective of this workshop was to enhance the skills of doctors and nurses at endoscopy centers nationwide in ERCP, EUS, and colorectal endoscopy. Additionally, the workshop aimed to share experiences in the screening, diagnosis, and endoscopic treatment of colorectal diseases, ERCP, and EUS.

Attending the workshop were Associate Professor Dr. Vu Van Khien, Secretary General of the Vietnam Gastroenterology Science Association and Vice President of the Vietnam Federation for Digestive Endoscopy; Dr. Ho Dang Quy Dung, President of the Vietnam Federation for Digestive Endoscopy; Dr. Le Quang Nhan, Head of the Endoscopy Department at Ho Chi Minh City University Medical Center; Master Dr. Pham Huu Tung, Deputy Head of the Endoscopy Department at Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City; Dr. Nguyen Lam Tung, Deputy Head of the Diagnostic Endoscopy Department at the 108 Military Central Hospital; Master Nurse Bach Thanh An, Head Nurse of the Endoscopy Department at Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City; Master Nurse Pham Quoc Thong, Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City; and Master Nurse Truong Thi Thuy Huong from the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Bach Mai Hospital. The workshop also featured the participation of members of the Vietnam Federation for Digestive Endoscopy, along with nearly 200 doctors and nurses specializing in endoscopy and related fields.

The workshop also featured the participation of leading experts in the field of digestive endoscopy from Japan, Thailand, and Singapore: Prof. Yoshinori Igarashi (Japan), Assoc. Prof. Pradermchai Kongkam (Thailand), Dr. Tanyaporn Chantarojanasiri (Thailand), Dr. Ang Tiing Leong (Singapore), and Prof. Kenichiro Imai (Japan).
